SandRaiders París to Dakar is a tribute to Thierry Sabine, the person who envisioned raids as a human adventure.

TH ORIGIN OF THE DREAM
PARÍS, 20 FEBRUARY 2027
On Staurday, 20 February 2027, the roar of classic motorcycles will once again make the heart of Paris vibrate. We will pay tribute to the person who taught us that adventure is about discovering the Sahara on wheels.
On 20 February 2027, we welcome everyone: motor enthusiasts , parents, children, siblings, friends, companions, and legendary protagonists.
- Administrative checks will be carried out.
- Participants of the SandRaiders adventure will be received.
- Motorcycles will be placed in the paddock (closed park)
- Homage ceremony to Thierry Sabine.
We will start the prologue stage, marking the beginning of the journey that will take us to dakar on 14 March.
- After crossing the finish line of the prologue stage, the most devoted Sandraiders who wish to experience the original Paris–Dakar route will continue riding to the hotel in Orléans during a night special stage.
During the first week, our wheels will connect Paris with Nador, with special stages, classic liaisons, and visits to private collections of classic vehicles. Accommodation will be in hotels, with a secured paddock.
- There is a logistical option: after the prologue stage, participants may leave their motorcycles on the organization’s trucks and meet again in Nador.
BEHIND EVERY STAGE, THERE IS AN ORGANIZATION DESIGED TO SUPPORT THE ENTIRE JOURNEY.
- A l'arribada de cada etapa sempre es deixaran les mots a un parc tancat (paddock), per donar seguretat a les nostres acompanyants, les motos.
- Tot el viatge és mitja pensió i cada matí us donarem un picnic, sempre teniu l'opció de menjar als pobles i conèixer la cultura i les cosums de cada lloc.
- At the end of each stage, motorcycles are placed in a secure paddock.
- The entire journey is half‑board, with a daily picnic provided. Participants may also eat in villages to discover local cultures and traditions.
- On desert nights where no hotels or services exist, the organization sets up camps with haimas or tents, toilets, showers, and catering. Your only concern is to enjoy the experience; we ensure your comfort.
- All participants must start in Paris and complete the prologue stage.
- After the prologue and official start in Paris, there is an option to leave your motorcycle on the assistance trucks and return home. You will have one week to attend personal commitments and regain energy before rejoining your motorcycle in Nador, Morocco, to begin the great Sandraiders adventure.
ACCEPTED MOTORCYCLES
SandRaiders is designed for classic and neoclassic bikes, the mythical bikes that took part in the great African raids of the 80s.
Motorbikes accepted:
Trail and MaxiTrail, before the year 2000, equipped with an engine of more than 350 cc and a minimum range of 200 km.
– Suspensions and tyres must be in perfect condition and checked.
– It is compulsory to fit tyres with studs and mouse on the front wheel.
– We also recommend equipping the rear wheel with a mouse.
* The organisation reserves the right to make exceptions when accepting motorbikes.
